Hunter X Hunter is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. It was later adapted into a 62-episode anime television series produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Kazuhiro Furuhashi. A second anime series by Madhouse aired on Nippon Television, with two animated theatrical films, which were later dubbed into English. The second series aired on Adult Swim's Toonami block in 2016.
Fans were surprised and delighted to discover that Spike Spencer voiced Gido in the latest series dub on Toonami, which has been a huge critical and financial success.
